As beings composed of mind, body, and spirit, we can achieve greater wholeness by nurturing all three aspects of ourselves. When we take a broader view of "spirit," it can be seen as our connection to self, family, others, community, society, nature, and what we hold sacred. The essence of spirituality lies in the journey to discover the deepest meanings, purposes, and transcendent moments in life.

Spiritual companioning offers you the opportunity tend to your spirit, your inner knowing, and explore and deepen your experience of spirituality with a certified Inter-Spiritual Director.

Sessions last 60 minutes and typically occur 1-2 times a month.  Longer 90 minutes sessions are also available.

BioSpiritual Focusing is an embodiment practice that re-awakens your body's wisdom to lead you towards greater wholeness.

Our body holds the energy of all our life experiences and contain the implicit potential of the next best step forward toward a life of fullness, authenticity and compassion.  Some names for this body wisdom are "intuition," "gut-feeling," "inner knowing/wisdom," "the small still voice," "the sound of the genuine," and "divine spark" among others.

BioSpiritual focusing is often woven into Spiritual Companioning sessions but can be utilized as a stand-alone session.

Listening Heart

Listening Heart is a facilitated experience that weaves art, poetry, and seasonal changes into each session to bring forth the inner murmurings of our spirit and ground us in the beauty of our natural world.  Those who are familiar with Lectio Divina may notice a similar cadence to the sessions.

Listening Heart can be requested during any Spiritual Companioning session but can also be utilized as a stand-alone session.

In a world full of noise, urgency, and fear, choosing joy is a powerful form of resistance. Join me for a 30-minute group where we’ll reflect on a different quote each week  from The Book of Joy by Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the Dalai Lama. Together, we’ll explore how joy can be cultivated—not in denial of suffering or anger, but in defiance of despair.

We’ll engage in gentle practices like reflection, stillness, and conversation, experimenting with ways to root our lives in compassion, creativity, and grounded presence.

Group sessions are free, last 30 minutes, meet weekly on Thursdays* at 11am PCT, and require no commitment (come as you are able).

Listening Heart Groups takes the facilitated experience of Listening Heart and expands it for a group of 4-5 individuals.  This unique offering allows you to experience the beautiful and varied ways that others encounter sacredness in their lives and deepen your own spirituality while witnessing and tending to the spirit of others.

Group sessions last 90 minutes, meet monthly, and run from August-May. Group members are invited to commit to all 10 months.

Your first session with me is free.  I offer a standard sliding scale of $60-100/session for 60-minute Spiritual Companioning, BioSpiritual Focusing, and Listening Heart sessions.  Listening Heart Groups are $30-50/person/session.  The amount you decide to pay should feel financially comfortable for you.  I do not want cost to be a barrier to spiritual companioning.  Truly.

Determining financial comfort:

  • What feels just, right, and good to you?

  • What amount reflects both your financial means and your desire for spiritual companioning?

  • What amount would give you a sense of gratitude and contentment around our work together?

Yes, but practically speaking, how much should I pay?

  • Clients working full time usually consider if paying at the high end of the sliding scale would be financially comfortable for them.

  • It can also be useful to compare it to similar services like therapy or life coaching, just to get a sense of the value.

  • An example: UU ministers charge $135-165/hr for spiritual direction while spiritual directors who are financially supported by other means (i.e. religious life, retreat centers, parishes, other full-time employment) often offer this service for free or at a discount.

If the amount that is financially comfortable for you is below the standard scale offered, there is a scholarship fund available to supplement your sessions.  No one is turned away due to inability to pay.

Contributing to the scholarship fund:

  • Any payment amount above and beyond the standard scale for a session (i.e. >$100) automatically goes towards the scholarship fund.

  • Alternatively, one time payments can be made to the scholarship fund by using one of the regular payment methods and putting "scholarship fund" in the memo.

I am deeply grateful for those who feel capable of contributing to the scholarship fund in this way.  Thank you for your generosity.  â€‹
